Isha Koppikar seems to have carried her brand conscious image to her films as well. Isha plays the role of a brand conscious girl in her forthcoming venture Hello. The film, being directed by Atul Agnihotri, is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel One Night At The Call Centre. Isha plays the role of a model who works at a call centre. Her character is a classy, fashion conscious girl. “Yes, I am brand conscious in the film, and to take my role a bit seriously, I stuck to using the same perfume brand throughout the film,” says Isha.
“We are three girls in the film — Amrita Arora, Gul Panag and myself — and believe me, it was real fun. I’ve never enjoyed myself so much on the sets of any other film as I did in Hello,” shares Isha. She adds, “Our rapport with each other was electrifying. I love to be amongst people. I experienced the atmosphere of working in a call centre. Atul had created such wonderful sets for the film.” Having shrugged off the Khallas girl tag, Isha is now looking forward to three releases Shabri, Hello and Darling. “I have three back-to-back releases,” she says excitedly, adding, “After Don, life seems to have changed completely. People are looking at me with a different perspective.”
Unlike in Don where she was shown as a classy moll, Shabri will present her in a much more deglamourised role. “For the first time I’ve done a role sans makeup. It is the role of a woman gangster and the film has no songs. It is realistic and we have shot on actual locales and not sets. In Darling, I have a very soft, sensuous look,” says Isha. “The film is all about love, lust and betrayal,” reveals the Don actress. |
