Dia Mirza and Kunal Kapoor have finally split. The couple had been seeing each other since late last year and their parting has shocked all those close to them. One of the main reasons being alleged for this breakup is Dia’s film Shootout At Lokhandwala’s producer Sanjay Gupta and director Apoorva Lakhia’s tussle over her, which subsequently lead to their parting ways once the film was released.

Though Dia and Kunal had never openly admitted their affair, they both were often seen coming together for events, hand in hand. When stories linking them together had started doing the rounds, Dia had said, "I don’t mind being linked to a handsome hunk like Kunal". The Hattrick star on the other hand had always maintained a diplomatic stand. He never denied or admitted to seeing her but always said that he enjoyed her company.

A close friend of Dia says she is no longer seeing Kunal. "There was a small misunderstanding between them which snowballed into something unexpected. One cannot entirely say it was because of her Shootout... experience as there were other issues as well," said the friend.
