Remember Rohit Jugraj? Well he directed the Mohit Ahlawat-Nisha Kothari starrer James. He is back and is all set with his untitled venture starring Kunal Khemu and Tulip Joshi. Insiders have it that Rohit’s film is about a young lad coming to Mumbai to make it to Bollywood and struggle through that process.
"Rohit’s story has a lot of style and substance and a heavy dose of humour too. That’s the reason why Kunal agreed to do the film," said a source. James marked Jugraj’s debut as a director. Before James, Rohit worked as an assistant director to Ram Gopal Varma.
Rohit’s sudden disappearance from the industry had raised a lot of eyebrows especially when Varma launched Shiva saying that it was his version of Jugraj’s James and that he was thoroughly disappointed with it. Sources also have it that Varma and Rohit cannot stand each other even today. However, Rohit still maintains that he looks upon Varma as his mentor.
