Katrina Kaif, who is not quite fond of donning makeup, is gearing up for the upcoming IIFA event to be held at Yorkshire. Her film Apne starring the Deol parivaar will be showcased at the function. She says, "I am very excited about IIFA. Though I am not performing at this event, it is a great platform for me as I am new to Bollywood."
About her role in the film Katrina says, "My character in Apne brings out the youth element and romance. There are a lot of emotional scenes. Apne has also got some fantastic music and I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting on it. I have two songs in the film with Bobby and they are really very good."
This is the first time that Katrina is working with the three Deols. "I was totally in awe of Sunny and had always wanted to work with him. Bobby is a great friend and we were either fighting all the time or are joking together. Dharamji is very sweet and was always complimenting me. It was very emotional especially the climax scene where both Sunny and Bobby had to come to Dharamji and hug him. They were all in tears. It was all so real because I have never seen such emotions on screen or in real life. I can never forget that scene," she says.
The actress who has a short stint in films has had a few successes to her credit. "I have thoroughly enjoyed doing both Maine Pyar Kyon Kiya and Namastey London. I am comfortable doing such roles and am looking forward to playing more such characters. But at the same time I would like to do different roles as that will give me an opportunity to show off my talent," explains Katrina. |
