The petite Neha Julka has finally stepped into Bollywood. The aspirant, who is making her debut with Smita Thackeray’s Kaise Kahen, was apprehensive about entering Bollywood, but is now looking forward to doing more and more films. “I was apprehensive in the beginning since I had no godfather and had heard that it is a big bad world. I was also busy doing my studies and modelling side by side. I was happy with my life and didn’t want to compromise. But when I got a call from a coordinator asking me to meet director Mohit Hussein for the film, I decided to go have a look. The director directly auditioned me and I was signed within the next 10 minutes. It was a good set up and they were nice people, so I agreed,” says Neha.
Speaking about the film she says, “I play the role of a journalist. The film is about conflicts between ambitions, career, personal life and love life. It is a youth-oriented film which reflects on how we take relationships for granted.” Has Kaise Kahen opened more avenues for her? “Yes, I am getting a lot of offers. In fact, I have also signed another film. I am getting a lot of offers from the South too. My Telugu film Okkadunnadu, directed by National Award winner Chandrakshekar Yelati has been a hit. I am doing another Telugu film after I complete this Hindi film,” she says.
