 Actor Saif Ali Khan seems to be having a ball while trying his hand at some very risky stunts in Abbas-Mastan’s thriller Race. One sequence in the film required him to jump from an air balloon and land on a moving car. The car then stops at the edge of a 1,000-feet cliff. This stunt was performed at Malshet Ghats recently under the supervision of action director Allan Amin.
Amin is quick to add that this is not the only stunt Saif is going to thrill his audiences with. "This is not the first time. Saif also jumped off the 34th storey of a building and landed on the roof of a car in a carpark at Dubai recently. Apparently, Saif was apprehensive while doing the stunt with cables. He was required to jump from the 34th floor and cables are not 100 per cent safe while performing such stunts." Saif asked Amin to perform the stunt for him first. Amin used very reliable Dynex ropes (which are more flexible and stronger than cables) to do the stunt. Assured of his safety, Saif then did the stunt himself.
Amin, who is very excited about the stunts, says, "Saif has never performed such stunts before and was a bit wary. However, when I assured him that he’ll do fine, he performed them brilliantly. Saif has geared up to perform more stunts in this film and others. He has become so fit. The audience is going to see a Saif that they haven’t seen before."
