Suchitra happy about work with Salman |

Suchitra Pillai is so charmed by co-star Salman Khan in the film Marigold that the actress can’t stop raving about him. The actress plays Salman’s best friend in the film. She says, "Salman was always known as the brat of Bollywood, but he was a pleasant surprise. There were absolutely no problems at all. I had heard so much about his mood swings that I was worried, but once we met each other, we hit it off well. He was friendly with everyone in the unit. We also used to have lunch together in his van. In fact, Ali Larter was also very co-operative on the sets and didn’t throw any tantrums."
Suchitra says that shooting with the entire cast and crew of the film was a pleasant experience. "I did a French movie in 1993, and an English film recently. But shooting with Willard Carrol was a wonderful experience," exclaims the actress.
She adds, "It was Willard who contacted me after he saw Dil Chahta Hai and said he wanted to cast me. There were delays but finally I ended up doing the role."
She is also ready to release her own music album now. "I have recorded three songs and am planning to release the album by the end of the year. It is an Indipop album but is a blend of soothing melody and feelings. I call it mature Indipop."
She relates Marigold to her album stating, "The first track of my album has been used by Willard in Marigold. I played it to Salman and Willard and he liked it so much that they decided to use it in the film. It plays in the background in a scene between Ali Larter and Nandana Sen," reveals Suchitra. |
