Tabu to play Irrfan’s mom |

 Irrfan Khan and Tabu, who came together for the first time in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Maqbool and were seen together in The Namesake, will once again star opposite each other in a film to be directed by Sanjeev Sivan. Sanjeev is the younger brother of Sangeeth and Santosh Sivan. This film, like The Namesake, is based on a book. Titled Life, Bits and Pieces, the book has been penned by noted journalist Ali Peter John who said that he could not express in words the joy of his book being made into a film.
"Few know that I had completed the book three years ago and I got a tremendous response for it. Noted painter M.F. Husain was so impressed by it that he designed the cover of my book. The book is going to be translated in Marathi too and is going to be released in the next ten days," Ali said. While Tabu played Irrfan Khan’s wife in The Namesake, this film will have her play his mother.
