With N. Chandra announcing a sequel to his earlier hit Tezaab can other directors be far behind? The latest to join the bandwagon are directors Abbas-Mustan who are keen to make sequels to their earlier hits Khiladi, Baazigar and Baadshah.
"It was Ratan Jain of Venus who tossed the idea and we agreed," said the shy and reticent Abbas. The director said that though the idea for the sequels has germinated, it would take time for them to hit the floors. "We have to get an apt script that would justify the sequels because all our three films were hits and we cannot let the audience down," Abbas said.
The director also said that the idea to make a sequel to Khiladi was already conveyed to Akshay Kumar who was more then willing to do it. "Akshay is ready to do yet another Khiladi because it was that film that pushed forward his acting career. But, as I said, it is only the right scripts that will decide the plan of our sequels," Abbas said. |
