Nagesh Kukunoor had signed Kitu Gidwani as the mother in his film Iqbal but tired of her attitude, he replaced her by Prateeksha Lonkar.

She was once again signed by Nagesh for his film Dor. And she will also appear in his forthcoming film Aashayein. Nagesh earlier signed Ashwani Bhave but replaced her with Prateeksha.

Nagesh is very much impressed by the talent and acting skills of Prateeskha and is roping her in his films. Nagesh said that she is compatible lady and does hard work for her role.

He called up Prateeksha when she was in Ladakh shooting with Mithun Chakroborty for Mera Bharat Mahan and asked her to be part of his film.

Nagesh calls Prateeksha Florence Nightangle and said that she accepted his offer in Aashayien without listening to script.
