Himesh Reshammiya had to apologise to Boney Kapoor recently. Himesh had a recorded the song Tanhaiyaan for Boney’s film Milenge Milenge but used it for his debut film as an actor, Aap Kaa Surroor without taking Boney’s permission. An enraged Boney had threatened to take Himesh and T-Series, who held the audio rights of the music, to court.
A source says, "During the scripting sessions of his film, Himesh realised that the song Tanhaiyaan fitted in his film. The song, though recorded almost three years back, was not yet picturised on Boney’s film’s lead pair — Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor then. He did not tell Boney about it and used it for his film."
"Boney was shocked when he saw the promo of Aap Kaa Surroor featuring his film’s song picturised on Himesh. When he claimed that it was his song, Himesh reportedly hit back declaring that it was his own song which he had composed and sung. He had further claimed that during one of the music sitting sessions with Boney for Milenge Milenge he had recited the song to him which he had loved but nothing had been finalised as to whether he had taken it for his film or not. Boney was further infuriated with Himesh’s attitude over this and decided to file a case against him and T-Series and bring a stay on the film’s release which is scheduled for coming Friday," adds our source.
"Worried about the consequences, T-Series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar then decided to take the first step for settling this matter out of court. He arranged a meeting between Boney and Himesh. In this meeting, Himesh apologised to Boney and accepted his fault. Boney forgave him and assured him that he won’t be going ahead with his court case," the source explains. "All is well between Himesh and me now," is what Boney said when asked about it. Himesh was unavailable for comment. |
