Om Shanti Om may be a big hit world wide and may have got the financial gain of Crores . but it has failed to captilise in Jammu and kashmir . the reason for this is that the people here don’t recognize Sharukh or does not like film but thye fear that going to a cinema hall could cost their lives.

Neelam cinema hall screened this film for about 1 week and got a meager collection of  38,000 Rs. In the year 1998,a grenade attack was done by the militants on the rEgal cinema hall which costed four innocent lives . and from thatb year the turn out to the theatres is very less. And since this film is a King Khan starrer some dared to come to the  cinema hall to have a glimpse of their hero .
