Shiney Ahuja turns evil Fame |

 Insiders say that it was the frustrating attitude of actor Shiney Ahuja that drove producer Tigmanshu Dhulia to shelve his project Fame completely.
"Fame was to star Shiney in the lead. The actor had agreed to do the film for Rs 45 lakhs then. But after films like Gangster and Metro fetched good returns at the box office, Shiney upped his price to Rs 90 lakhs overnight and demanded that Dhulia pay him if he wanted him to star in his film. But despite the actor?s unreasonable demand Dhulia?s nightmare was not over. Shiney, who initially was happy with the script, later demanded changes in it. He even interfered in the basic storyline of the film. That got to Dhulia and he decided not to go ahead with the film," revealed a source.
Though Dhulia was unavailable for comment, Dale Bhagwagar, Shiney?s spokeperson clarified, "It is not possible that Shiney agreed to do Dhulia?s film for Rs 90 lakhs because producers are offering him over Rs 1 crore to rope him in their films, especially after the success of Life in a Metro. Also, Shiney is far too professional to shoot his price overnight. He is too polite to demand double the amount that was agreed upon originally."
Bhagwagar continued, "As far as the script is concerned, was Shiney all over the place in Life in a Metro? No! If he was the kind of star who ordered scripts to be changed I think he would not have three films on hand. He is the same actor who did a small role in Kunal Kohli?s Fanaa without batting an eyelid. So where is the question of Shiney demanding changes in the script? If he felt that he did not suit the role offered to him, he would simply turn it down rather than harass a director of Dhulia?s stature."
But from the looks of it, it seems like Dhulia doesn?t intend to work with Shiney in the future. Dhulia is not the first director to have blacklisted the actor. Before him, it was director Mohit Suri who hit out at the actor in print and said that he would never work with Shiney again. |
