Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have been signed on by Venus Films for their forthcoming venture De Dana Dhan after three hits together in Namastey London, Welcome and Singh Is Kinng. The film will also star Suneil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy. The film will be directed by Priyadarshan and will be shot in Singapore. The frequent pairing and good onscreen chemistry between Akshay and Katrina has worked wonders at the box office. Yet rumours were rife that the hot couple would not be seen together on screen again. However to put rumours to rest, Akshay and Katrina have already signed producer-director Vipul Shah’s London Dreams. During the music launch of Singh Is Kinng, Akshay was asked about his onscreen chemistry with Katrina. He said, “We have given so many hits together, so why shouldn’t we work together again?” Katrina added, “We share a bond. Akshay’s been a great friend. He has been there from when I didn’t know Hindi, did not know how to dance, where the lights and camera were supposed to be or what I was meant to do. Every newcomer should work with him as he helps out in every shot. He lends support and gives confidence. He’s a senior artiste and you respect a senior artiste. |

The overwhelming response to Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s show in Sharjah recently has inspired the Morani brothers, to organise a series of shows across Europe. Mohammed Morani said, “The Sharjah show was extremely successful. We are now organising a series of shows across Europe and in West Asia. Saif and Kareena have a huge fan following in these places. People throng to the stadium to watch them especially after the success of Race and Jab We Met. In addition, Saif and Kareena make a wonderful pair. They are both good looking and exude power that makes the audience go ‘wow’.” “Saif and Kareena also had solo performances so one can imagine the response when the duo performs together. This time they are keen to do something together,” Morani added. Kareena revealed, “The show had a crowd of 20,000 people and it was just amazing. Saif seemed excited and we are looking forward to the shows across Europe. |

Amrita Arora is back in Mumbai after a long spell in Los Angeles where she was shooting for Kambakth Ishq with Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. And of course, her split with cricketer boyfriend Usman Afzaal came as no surprise to her naysayers who think she’s a serial dater anyway. And not one to waste anytime, Amrita has got herself a brand new boyfriend, businessman Shakeel Ladak who is five years her junior. The man supposedly even met with her in Los Angeles when she was missing him. Well, if Tom Cruise can take the red eye from LA to New York just to walk wife Katie Holmes to work (which is a Broadway play called All My Sons), then Shakeel flying the long haul flight to meet Amrita seems passable too. Even though the pretty girl’s career is not happening, her love life certainly is. |
