Default How crisp are 1080p televisions ?

I've been looking at the new DLP rear-projection televisions that can handle 1080p, or 1920 by 1080 resolutions natively. If I connect a PC to this box (through DVI), will it be possible to sit in a recliner and work in front of this TV ? Not just web browsing, but Word processing, terminal connections, etc... In particular I'm interested in a 52" model from Samsung which can be purchased nowadays for less than $3000.

I would go to a nearby retailer have them hook up a PC to it via the DVI connection. Most retailers will accommodate you especially if you are going to be making a purchase close to $3000.00. I would imagine it would look great. I have a Sony 42" HDTV LCD. The connection for the PC is SVGA and it looks really crisp. Just keep in mind that HDTV broadcasts are usually in 720p or 1080i. The 1080p broadcast will hopefully take place in the near future. I know the PS3 will be HD in 1080p.

Just make sure the signal from your computer is in the projector's native format so that no scaling occurs.A good screen to project onto will help alot too.
