There are times when we learn certain things from the kids that we never forget throughout our lives. Something similar happened with our sexy lass Mallika Sherawat. If you recall, Mallika was also a member of the cast of “Aap Ka Suroor’, the first film by Himesh Reshammiya and Hansika Motwani. Those were the days when Mallika was quite annoyed with 15-year-old Hansika who not only addressed the sex siren as ‘aunty, but also teased her making all sorts of faces.

Now it wouldn’t be wrong to say that influenced by Hansika, Mallika has applied all the tricks with her co-stars in the forthcoming film ‘Man Gaye Mughal-E-Azam’ and troubled K K Menon and Rahul Bose a lot. Especially, Mallika used to make faces and tease K K Menon when he would be busy with the shooting.
When we contacted the director of the film Sanjay Chhel, he said, “Yes, it is true that Mallika was up to such pranks on the sets. Whenever she used to come on the sets, Mallika used to bow and do salaam to all present much like Anarkali. It was not only Mallika, but also Paresh Rawal. Together they used tease us and annoy everyone present on the set.”

Elaborating, Sanjay Chhel said, “All these things did not bother Rahul as he was Mallika’s co-star in ‘Pyar Ke Side Effects’ and was aware of her ways. But K K Menon was quite upset by such behavior of Mallika and feeling uneasy, the actor would blow red.”

We are happy that notwithstanding all tantrums by Mallika, K K Menon was cool and did not react. Had he reacted, not only the atmosphere on the set would have been affected, but even Sanjay Chhel’s face would have turned red like K K Menon’s!

Mallika Sherawat, who plays a starlet in a theatre group that performs a modern day take on Mughall E Azam in the forthcoming film Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, learnt the dance moves for her role of Anarkali from veteran choreographer Saroj Khan.

Sherawat and Khan hit off very well on the set, reports the TOI, so audiences can look forward to a sizzling performance when the film hits theatres in March - April.

Mallika dances to the song Pyaar kiya toh darna kiya which has been sung to a completely different tune than the original, composed by music director Anu Malik.

Anu Malik is modest about his composition.

“Let me first make it very clear that no one can ever repeat or even remotely come close to the original song ‘Pyaar kiya toh darna kya’ from Mughal-E-Azam. For me, that song is one of the best songs in the history of our film industry. It was not only melodious but also extremely well written. And who can forget Madhubala in the song?”

Malik says Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam is a comedy and the song has been adapted to modern times and has “a lot of funny lines.”

Mallika’s look has been styled by designers Ashley Rebello and Anita Dongre.

Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam has been directed by Sanjay Chel. Mallika’s co-stars in the film include Rahul Bose, Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon.

Anu Malik’s daughter Anmol is just 17 and she has already sung a sizzling item song for Mallika Sherawat in Ugly Aur Pagli.

“It was a very proud moment for me when Mallika rang me up thanking me for giving her the song. It made me even prouder to know that she didn’t know Anmol was my daughter,” Malik told IANS.

“I want Anmol to get her own identity. Though I’m there to help her in every way possible, I don’t want her to be recognised as my daughter,” added the proud father.

“When I came to the industry, I had no godfathers. I struggled, fell to the ground and rose again. Today, I’m doing some of the best work of my career. And I want Anmol to be the best in the business, without having to struggle the way I did.”

The item song is part of the Ranvir Shorey’s fantasy song where Mallika plays out every teenaged fantasy from Baywatch to Barbarella.

Anmol sang for her father in J.P. Dutta’s Umrao Jaan and has lent her voice for debutante Sheena in Satish Kaushik’s upcoming film Tere Sang.

Mallika Shehrawat has men all drooling over for her killer looks and bold attitude but Pooja Bedi refuses to agree one bit. Mallika might have done bold roles but she is not brave enough to face difficult situations, claims Bedi.

“I met Mallika for the first time just before my chat show and I interacted with her little bit. The show started on one of my questions regarding her image to which she reacted angrily on the show. I was surprised at her reaction. I don’t think Mallika Sherawat is a brave girl. She could have faced the questions politely and should have answered suitably but instead of doing that, she got furious and showed her temper. I am of the view that she is not a courageous girl at all,” states Pooja.

Pooja, who is busy these days anchoring a chat show (Just Pooja: Yeh Bedi Bindaas Hai) on Zoom, is not at all pleased with Ms Sherawat. According to Pooja, it was not-so-pleasing experience of inviting Mallika as a guest on her show.

The glam gal, who herself is quite popular for her bold yet short stint in Bollywood, has restricted herself from exposing on small screen. She was also in news sometime back for some bold pictures that were carried in a newspaper.

Now, is the seductress aiming to re-establish herself as a bold girl? “Why should I? When did I change my image in the first place? Today, I am still as bold as I used to be. I haven’t changed at all. I don’t bother what people think about me and what kind of a perception they have about me,” retorts Bedi.

Incidentally, the filmmakers wanted Tabu for the lead role. However, they found her a little too old for the character and have now finalized Mallika for this comedy thriller.

Ratan Jain says, “Yes we have finalized Mallika Sherawat, Rahul Bose and Paresh Rawal for the film. It is a humorous film but not an out and out comedy as it also has a thriller element to it.”

When quizzed about Tabu, Jain says, “Yes we were definitely thinking of Tabu and even approached her. But, it didn’t work out.”

However, director Sanjay Chell says, “It is too premature to speak anything about my casting as I am in the process of finalizing the cast. I am not aware whether my producers have approached Tabu or not.”
